OCR

Optical Character Recognition. Term used for software that can scan a page of text and turn it from a digital image into an editable piece of text.

OOP

Object-oriented programming is a programming language model organized around objects rather than "actions" and data rather than logic. Historically, a program has been viewed as a logical procedure that takes input data, processes it, and produces output data.

Open Source

Denotes the license applied to software source code, meaning that anyone can freely download, copy or modify it for their own uses. This web site is built using Open Source tools.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month.

Due to COVID-19 meetings are online and are currently free. Price for physical meetings (when they return) is £3 for first attendance and £5 thereafter, with no commitment required.

Location: First floor, in the bar area.

Accessibility: There are lift facilities and toilets on the same floor.

Parking: There is ample parking outside the centre, which is free after 6.30pm
