Well,

it is an accessory ("MAGICSLM") that reads the hp-pcl data from the
serial port (or a file) and converts it into an .img file or prints it
directly to the SLM printer via the diablo emulator software.

We only support the raster modes, not the true type font modes. So it
works fine with the hp drivers of the Mac or the hp drivers you could
use with MagicMac. I gave the program to some people to try it with PCs,
but didn't get an answer so far. It probably depends on the driver and
the windows program...

Our program was published in a german ST print magazin. It is available
via email.
